Learning how to surf is challenging, but through focusing on the positives of the experience, Serenity Springs clients are likely to grow stronger. Along with many of the holistic activities incorporated in Serenity Springs Recovery program; Surfing has become an extremely valuable and unbelievably rewarding resource for our clients. A community of Serenity Springs Alumni surfers has been created in the last couple of years here in Volusia County, Florida.
New Smyrna Beach, thirteen miles of white-sand beaches. Surfing in New Smyrna Beach is not just an activity, it’s a lifestyle. Ponce Inlet is easily the most consistent break in the United States, trailing only Huntington Beach in California. The waves are not the biggest in the world, but they are consistent; a virtual all you can eat buffet for the hungry surfer.
Beginners can learn the sport in safe waters and at the same time accomplished surfers can rip up the waves all year round. Every summer the American Professional Surfing Association holds one of its premier contests here. Surfers from all over compete. Landshark Spring Surfari Pro revived New Smyrna Beach this April with its first professional surfing event in fifteen years.
Learning the Sport of Kings early in his life, Jimmy Lane began competing in Eastern Surfing Association events and quickly advanced to the World Surfing Tour of the ASP. With many 1st places wins under his belt, Jimmy returned to his home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and continued his involvement with Pro Surfing by becoming a Pro Surf Judge. Jimmy Lane offers Serenity Springs clients an unparalleled opportunity to directly benefit from the vast ocean experience.
