Jessica Lawrence is an MPTI certified personal trainer, who instructs clients individually and performs group classes at our on-site fitness center. She has experience training individuals of all ages and skill levels and helps all Serenity Springs’ clients restore themselves to a healthy state of physical and mental well-being. Jessica was born in Wisconsin, where she began her journey in fitness at an early age. She started training herself in high school and at the age of 22, she received her national certification from the Personal Training Institute. In 2007, Jessica became involved with the Special Olympics. She specialized in coaching powerlifting and won the Special Olympics Coach of the Year award in 2008. Jessica went on to become an IFBB pro bodybuilder in 2009 and competed in several shows. Shortly after, she moved to New York where she trained under the ISKA World Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion, Dereck Panza. It was there that she found a passion for the sport of boxing. Jessica went on to compete in Golden Gloves, winning the notable “Fighter of the Night” award in 2012. She is now a USA certified boxing coach. Jessica is also certified in kettlebell training and yoga. She became a certified yoga instructor at the prestigious Himalayan Institute, under the instruction of Luke Ketterhagen. In 2013, she moved to New Smyrna Beach and was introduced to Serenity Springs and found that she could use her expertise and passion for fitness to help those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. Jessica has a passion for personal training because of the ability for a client to change the quality of life as well as outlook through exercise. She adds to Serenity Springs’ fitness and health program, helping to make Serenity Springs have more drug rehab activities than most drug rehabilitation centers.
