Megan McPherson, LPN is the Director of Nursing at Serenity Springs Recovery Center. Megan is from Detroit, Michigan and has been living in Florida for the past eight years. She has had many close family members and friends who have battled with drug addiction and alcohol abuse. Megan lost both her father and mother to the disease of addiction.
“It has always been important to me to not follow down their paths.”
Megan realized that Serenity Springs take a different approach to helping people in the way the program incorporates the 12 steps, while working on mind, body and spirit. This, she says aids in a very well-rounded and unique approach to addiction recovery. It is effective because all of the treatment team members step up to meet the individual needs of our clients.
Megan’s favorite part of working at Serenity Springs is working together with the team and discovering a new path or direction for every individual’s life.
“Seeing the impact and transformation that we have on our clients and their families lives is the most important and rewarding aspect of what I do.”
Megan has been a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the past 4 years. She has spent 15 years in the health care field as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Home Health Care Provider (HHCP). She really enjoys being able to help others. Megan also enjoys exploring the springs in Florida, relaxing at the beach, as well as camping to help her disconnect from the daily “hustle and bustle” of saving lives in her work at Serenity Springs Recovery Center.
